Avatar LA + SFLDG Present: International Fetish Photography

Intl Fetish Photo_Vb2.jpg

Join Avatar Club Los Angeles and San Francisco Leathermen’s Discussion Group in our first collaboration. We are proud to host four internationally renowned photographers discuss and show us their leather and fetish photography. They will talk about what turns them on, why it’s important to document our scene and share some of their favorite work.

This once in a lifetime, international panel consists of:

Ryan Coit, COIT Photography
Minneapolis MN

For the past several years his life and photography have been greatly influenced by his involvement in the LGBTQ Community. Internationally recognized for presenting images
that capture the beauty in all types of individuals expressing their sexual identity. Coit's work takes on the diverse scent of leather and sweat, the innate beauty of desire, the human body, and sex.

Dari van Hart, D81 Photos
Middle East

Dari been taking pictures since 2007, participated in many exhibitions and won local and international photography contests. As a gay man (albeit quietly here in the Middle East) I am drawn to the gay scene when I travel and love to take pictures of men with unique looks; trying to capture their unique personality in a single shot. I have attended many prominent fetish events and had the opportunity to shoot some well known people on the scene as well as participating in fetish photography contests.

Vincent Keith, MASCULAR
American/British

Despite being an advocate for technology, Vincent maintains that in photography his best work is done “before the shutter is released.” He is fascinated with the play between light and surface – “moments when the nature and mood of an object is transformed.” Vincent discovered a true passion for photographing men in 2005 when he founded MASCULAR Studio, and has since worked with over 300 models from around the world. In 2012, he founded MASCULAR Magazine, a quarterly e-zine dedicated to masculine art and the men who create it. He has been published in numerous anthologies, and has self-published 4 books as well. Vincent’s interest in fetish photography arose out of numerous collaborations with fetish enthusiasts over the years.

Carmelle La Serina, We Are Leather
New York City

Carmelle is a photographer living in NYC. She has been documenting the leather and fetish scene for decades. She founded "We Are Leather"; and "We Are Leather Women". Her images have been featured in Advocate, featured in exhibits all over the world, most recently, at Folsom Berlin. Several of her images are housed in the permanent collection of the Tom of Finland Foundation.
