Volunteers

Volunteers are an essential resource to LDG, a 100% volunteer effort for the past decade.

As a 100% volunteer program, LDG is unique in its ability to offer its programs free of charge. This success has been made possible by the generous contributions of time, money, and efforts of many caring sponsors, donors, presenters, attendees and especially volunteers. Volunteers, in particular, are the primary catalysts, the most valuable resource and foundation on which LDG exists.

LDG offers many different volunteer opportunities to participate and serve in effective and meaningful ways. Our assignments allow volunteers to learn new skills, become more visible and social, meet others, and feel supported by like-minded individuals all working towards a common vision. For those who may wish to join LDG's Steering Committee, becoming an LDG volunteer is the first step.

Sponsors

Individuals, community organizations & our neighborhood businesses are vital to our mission.

By underwriting a special program or event, or by providing LDG with a venue or other program funding needs, sponsors serve as partners with whom we can work towards a common vision for the benefit of the community. Venue sponsors, in particular, have played an essential role in LDG's 10-year history in which no bi-monthly program has ever been missed. Donations from individuals, couples, and groups make our work possible. In our various projects, we work with our sponsors to address areas of need that foster safety and well-being towards buiding a better informed and more empowered community. Their funding defray our expenses in community outreach, marketing materials, special workshop locaton rentals, informational handouts, the LDG Web site, our annual Fetish Fair, and our one and only annual communty social event during the holiday season.
