Subscribing to the LDG Announcements Mailing List

In order to prevent users from subscribing others without their authorization, our two-part subscription setup requires you to submit your request at our Web site, and then confirm your request by email. To begin your set up, click on the "Subscribe or Modify my subscription here" button and follow the easy step-by-step instructions online, or you may preview the process below.

To subscribe to the LDG Announcements Mailing List

PART 1: Submitting your request

  1. At the LDG Web site, navigate to the Mailing List page and click on the "Subscribe or Modify my Subscription" button. This takes you to the LDG Announcements Information page.
  2. At the bottom of the LDG Announcements Information page, enter the email address at which you wish to receive LDG Announcements.
  3. Optionally, you may enter a name; however, this field is not required.
  4. Enter a password. Please note that if this field is left blank, the system will generate one for you. This password will be needed to modify your subscription options and to unsubscribe. Do not consider it to be highly secure, as it will be included in the email text of the welcome message that you will receive. We advise that you NOT use a password that you normally use in highly secure environments.
  5. Click the SUBMIT button to complete your request.

Within a few minutes, a confirmation request will be automatically emailed to you from <Announcements-request@sfldg.org>. The subject line will begin with “confirm” followed by a long string of characters that is unique to your request. Please be sure that the message is not blocked by any anti-Spam filtering. If the message does not arrive within several minutes, check your Spam, junk mail or bulk mail folder. When the message is received, please proceed to Part 2.

PART 2: Confirming your request

  1. Open the confirmation request email and proceed to Option A (or Option B) in Step 2.

  2. Option A:
    1. Press your REPLY button on your email program.
    2. Do not do not change the subject line or add any text to the message body.and press the SEND button.
      This completes the subscription process. Go to Step 3.

OR

Option B:

    1. Click link provided in the message to reach the Confirm Subscription Request page.
    2. Your email address will be shown, and optionally you may enter your name, and then click Subscribe to List Announcements.
    3. When Subscription Request Confirmed is displayed, you are successfully subscribed. Go to Step 3.

You will receive an emailed welcome message that provides your password. You may wish to retain this for easy reference should you need to unsubscribe or change your subscription options. If you misplace this message, you can always request your password reminder from the Announcements List Information page. Please note that the message also contains information on "posting of messages" which is not relevant to LDG Announcements.
