Prompted by the increase of violent street crime in neighborhoods where we thought we were safe, SFLDG hosts a special meeting devoted to practical discussion about keeping ourselves and each other safe and prepared.

LENNY BROBERG won the Mr San Francisco Leather and International Mr Leather titles in 1992 and has been working hard for the leather, LGBT and San Francisco communities ever since.  He has been with the S.F. Police Department for almost as long, nearly twenty years, serving in the rank of Inspector with the SFPD's Gang Task Force and working with community groups on issues of crime and safety.  Lenny's wide-ranging activism has garnered awards and acclaim (e.g., Pantheon Leather "Man of the Year" 1995), but he may be best known as everybody's favorite master of ceremonies for leather and LGBT events, both locally and nationally.  He will be emcee for International Mr Leather XXXV in May of this year.

DALTON HUCKABY is a Health and Fitness Coach and is currently attending massage school. After enjoying his participation with the Bare Chest Calendar as Mr Jan 2013, he's decided to actively help out with the BCC as 2014 Team Captain. Live, laugh, love, learn is his motto.

After his iCrime mugging on the night of March 11th, Dalton became more astonishingly aware of the shocking crime rates in our beloved city. Resolved to fight back, Dalton has focused his energy on spreading crime awareness and the importance surrounding safety. He's currently working with Stop the Violence and Castro Community on Patrol in hopes it will help bring a sense of safety back to our streets.

MIKE PIERCE is a seasoned martial arts instructor and has taught self-defense to students from all walks of life, such as the Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence, the San Francisco LGBT Center staff, seniors at New Leaf, and UCSF employees. When the Castro Community on Patrol began, Mike served on its board and as chief trainer for patrol volunteers. Holding the rank of 4th degree black belt in taekwondo and 2nd degree black belt in hapkido, Mike also organizes informal martial arts workouts through his Quiet Path Martial Arts group on Facebook. Mike has presented for leather/fetish events and organizations, including LDG, and was formerly Program Coordinator for Avatar, Los Angeles. He currently lives in San Francisco with his partners, Jim and Race.
